Nature field trips go digital
The mission of the What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) is to be a central and trusted source of scientific evidence for what works in education. A distinguishing feature of the WWC is that it does not directly assess programs, policies, or practices, but instead, reviews and reports on the findings from existing research. These reviews are conducted by certified WWC reviewers.
The 2013 International Conference on Education and Social Sciences (ICEASS) will be held on September 13-15, 2013 in Singapore. The ICEASS offers a great opportunity to bring together professors, researchers and scholars around the globe a great platform to deliver the latest innovative research result and the most recent development and trends in education and social sciences field.

The Global 2013 STEMx Education Conference is the world’s first massively open online conference for educators focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and more. The conference will be held over the course of three days, September 19-21, 2013, and will be free to attend!
NSTA is forming a group of experts to identify resources that will help teachers implement the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). These resources will be featured on a new NGSS@NSTA Portal currently under development. Approximately 50 educators will be selected to be a curator and each will focus on a particular topic in the NGSS. Curators will receive free NSTA membership as well as registration and travel expenses to an NSTA conference for specialized professional development on evaluating resources.
