The deadline for nominations for the Lifetime Achievement Award to be given at the AERA Annual Meeting in 2015 has been extended until December 8. Materials are due to Jim Spillane, chair of the committee, via email: j-spillane@northwestern.edu. (See below for more information about brief nomination process.)
Outlier is excited to release the first round of findings from the STEM School Study (S3). These findings include the 8 Elements of inclusive STEM high schools, an interactive Roadmap of the path to STEM school success, and an updated Infographic that explores how STEM schools enact the 8 Elements on a daily basis.
Congratulations to our newest cohort of Fellows! Read their bios. The Fellows will have their first face-to-face meeting next week at EDC’s Waltham headquarters.

NSF anticipates the release of a revised version of the NSF Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 15-1) this Fall. This revised PAPPG is effective for proposals submitted, or due, on or after December 26, 2014. The PAPPG is consistent with, and, implements the new Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance) (2 CFR § 200).

The Next Generation Preschool Math (NGPM) project, funded by the NSF DRK-12 program, has released its first game into the App Store (ipad only) entitled “Gracie & Friends Birthday Café.” This is the first of 8 games that will be released between now and the end of January! These games were the product of a collaboration between researchers at EDC & SRI and developers at WGBH.
An informational webinar on the current NSF Cyberlearning and Future Learning Technologies solicitation will be held Tuesday, November 4th from 12 pm – 1 pm ET.
