NSF's Division of Research on Learning in Formal and Informal Settings (DRL) in the Education and Human Resources Directorate (EHR) announces a Nation-wide search for one Program Director with expertise in the evaluation of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education and education research programs, policies and projects.
The incumbent will serve as the lead for conceptualizing evaluation efforts across the Directorate and will represent the Directorate and Division on agency and interagency task forces and committees related to evaluation.
The NSF released a Dear Colleague Letter: Life STEM, inviting eligible organizations to submit research proposals that create, implement, and evaluate models of intervention that will advance the knowledge base for establishing and retaining underrepresented minorities in STEM fields with particular attention to life science and the biosciences.
NSF is coming to New England for an “NSF Day” on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor (hosted by University of Maine). NSF Days are one day workshops that are designed to share with prospective NSF-funded PIs best practices and tips to writing strong proposals in order to secure funding for valuable research. This is a great opportunity for early career researchers. Registration is limited to 200 people.
