Event Description

Join the ECR Hub for an interactive workshop on strategies for crafting a compelling proposal for the Building Capacity for STEM Education Research Individual Investigator Development

(BCSER:IID) program. During this working session, participants will build their capacity to identify whether their project idea aligns with the BCSER:IID program as opposed to other more applied NSF EDU programs, learn strategies for crafting a compelling proposal, and draft a one-page summary of their proposal.

When you register, please submit the research topic for your project idea. Before the workshop, we will send you BCSER/ECR project summaries related to your specific topic. During the workshop, you will build on the idea that you submitted to craft a one-page summary, which you will then have the option to discuss with other participants. After the workshop, you will receive an invitation to discuss your project summary with an NSF program officer and receive feedback.

Objectives:

  • Tailor your project idea to align with the BCSER:IID program.
  • Understand how your project fits within the specific domains of the BCSER:IID program.
  • Frame a compelling one-page project summary that articulates the project overview, intellectual merit, and broader impacts.
  • Receive follow-up feedback on your project idea from an NSF program officer.

Who will benefit: This workshop is designed for researchers interested in developing proposals for NSF's EDU Building Capacity for STEM Education Research Individual Investigator Development
