Anna Newsome

About Me (Bio)
Anna Newsome serves as a Program Coordinator within CEISMC for SLIDER (Science Learning Integrating Design, Engineering, and Robotics). She received a Bachelors of Science in Public Policy from Georgia Tech in 2008. Throughout her undergraduate program Anna’s research interests focused heavily on the relationship between the policy process and the influence of media. While a student at Georgia Tech, Anna served as a student research assistant, member of the GT Mock Trial team, and completed a semester-long internship through the School of Public Policy. After graduation Anna spent a year working for a private sector event firm before eagerly returning to her alma mater.

This project is developing and implementing a rigorous eighth grade physical science program that utilizes engineering design, LEGO™ robotics and mechanics, and a problem-based learning approach to teach mechanics, waves, and energy.
